Goals
The Student Council is a democratic body for student representation at ESEI and its representative apparatus is elected by means of a formal electoral system and supported by a written constitution.
The existence of the Student Council gives students greater control of their own affairs, facilitates better communication between the administration, the faculty and the student body, and provides more frequent and better social events. It raises student consciousness and enhances the corporate identity of the school, to the benefit of all.
Tasks
Apart from improving communication between students, teachers and administration, the activities of the Student Council involve:
• Organisation of the induction week activities to acclimatise new students and introduce them to existing students and staff.
• Promoting contacts with other student organisations.
• Help to provide a feeling of belonging to the school.
• Dealing with complaints that are brought into the open, through the correct channels and via regular meetings with administration.
