All non-European students are required to pay the Admission Fee of 300 euros in order to start the application process. The fee is non-refundable and covers the administration expenses. The application process will start once the payment has been made. It is only when the student obtains the visa that he/she is required to pay the Enrolment Fee.
Enrolment Fee of 1,500 euros is to be paid each year in advance in order to secure a place. Payment of the Enrolment Fee is compulsory and if the fee is outstanding the place cannot be guaranteed.
We offer our students the option of using one of the following methods of payment:

Steps to open a bank account in Spain
Whatever your nationality, you must justify your status as a resident or a non-resident if you wish to open a bank account in Spain. If you are a resident, you only have to go to a bank and show the resident ID to be able to open an account. If you are a non-resident, there are two options: a) The first option is to go to the Dirección General de la Policía with your passport (as well as a photocopy) and ask for a “non-resident certificate”. You will then have to return within about 10 days in order to pick up the certificate. Once you have this certificate, you can go to any bank with your passport and open an account. This account will be operative from the moment of opening and the deposited funds will be available immediately. b) The second option is to go to a bank with your passport and ask to open an account. The bank will then request that you sign an authorisation to carry out the necessary procedures for obtaining your non-resident certificate. The bank fee for this service is about €15.00. The account will not be operative until the bank receives your certificate and deposited funds will be frozen. There is no minimum deposit to be able to open an account in Euros. If you wish to open an account in another currency, check minimum deposit levels. Before starting any procedure, it is a good idea to find out if there is a bank in Barcelona which has a special agreement with your host university. If this is the case, check what documents the bank will ask you to provide. The bank may be willing to open an account without a certificate if you can show your host university student ID. |

Deposit
ESEI will retain a caution charge of 50 euros for the duration of each student’s programme. Students will be charged for damage to property or equipment. When individual responsibility can be determined, the individual will be charged. Other damage will result in the application of collective responsibility.
Deferral Policies
According to the payment instructions explained above, all fees must be paid on due dates. Should any delay in the payment ensue, the sponsor will receive a letter of reminder during the first seven working days. If payment is outstanding for a period of one month, the student concerned will not be allowed into classes. Note: Academic transcripts and diplomas will be withheld until all financial obligations are fulfilled.
Enrolment Fee Refund Policy
Enrolment fee refunds can only be made on the basis of Refund Application presented to ESEI on facing exceptional life circumstances such as below:
- Illness of a student of such severity or duration as he/she finds it impossible to attend the classes.
- Other health problems, which make it impossible for the student to attend classes, require that the application for a refund be made in writing, with detailed supporting information, and sent to the Admission Office. The process of examining the Refund Application is often a lengthy one and ESEI reserves the right to delay response to a student until the end of the semester in question.
In the case of non-European students, apart from the above mentioned, the following procedure will apply. Those students who have failed to obtain a student visa/permit will be required to send the original denial from the Embassy to the Admission Office during the first two weeks of the semester commencement.
Note: The two week period is taken from the date of the first class and not the date the student commenced.
We understand that the student is still interested in studying at our university and will present necessary documents to the Embassy again and the student will have a place at ESEI reserved for the following semester.
Students who do not attend class for two weeks, or those who have failed to present a Refund Application after two weeks of commencement of term will not be entitled to a refund.
If, on the basis of student justification, ESEI agrees to make the refund there will be a cover charge, for administrative, of 20%.
Student Withdrawal Policy
In case of withdrawal student is required to present a written Withdrawal Form during the first two weeks of new semester commencement.
Failure to formally withdraw from a new semester within two weeks of the semester commencement date will mean that the student remains liable for any unpaid fees. |
